Stephen Rawlings

In the Historical Encyclopedia of Illinois & History of Illinois published in 1906 it states that William Edward Rawlings travelled directly to Jacksonville, Morgan County, in 1863, where his uncle, Stephen, was then living). I believe this is his uncle. Both these families came from Yorkshire. There were 2 Rawlings families in Morgan County, Illinois that were unrelated. The other family came from Maryland and on the paternal side of Scottish-Irish descent
