Stephen Smith

Stephen Smith. was the son of Samuel Smith and Ann Covington Smith.

His father, Samuel was born about 1680 in Abingdon Parish, Gloucester County, VA and died 22 Sept 1743, St. George's Parish, Spotsylvania County, VA . His mother, Anne Covington Smith was born 1683 in Essex County and died 1725, St.George's Parish, Spotsylvania County, VA.

On 4 July 1773 Blessing Stephens married a neighbor, Stephen Smith who was more than 20 years her senior. With him she had Paris Smith and Frances Smith. After Stephen Smith on 29 October 1799 died she went to live in Kenton County, KY with her son, Benjamin Stephens.
