After her husband's death, Sudna went to live with a son, Elias, on the Flannagan farm above Berea in what is now Ritchie County West Virginia. It was here that she died and according to a grandson, Jonathan C. Lowther, who was about ten years old at the time, she is buried in a corner of the old Flannagan burying ground. he could not recall her features but said that she was very small.

Sudna Hughes (1792-1872), daughter of Margaret Morrison and William Lowther. Married to George Willard on 8/24/1827. [or July 31, 1834 - must be wrong] in Harrison Co, WV. George was the son of Elizabeth Hume Ghanz and George Willard.
Sudna & George Willard are buried in Flannagan Cemetery in Ritchie County, WV.
