Sue Norsworthy Vernon

Mrs. Sue Norsworthy Vernon, 86, a social work administrator for the State of Louisiana, died Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Hermitage Gardens in Oxford, MS. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Ball, LA. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Vernon was the widow of Mr. Rowland P. Vernon. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pineville, LA, the Eastern Star and Quota Club.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Ronald Vernon of Oxford, MS and Dr. Rowland Vernon of Fort Smith, AR; one brother, Thomas Felix Norsworthy of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family has asked that memorial contributions in Mrs. Vernon's memory be made to The Pantry, P.O. Box 588, Oxford, MS 38655.
