About Susan Ann Bennett
"An early-day resident, and wife of the late John Bradbury Bennet, a brother of Colorado's first delegate to congress, died at the residence of her son, W.A. Bennet, 1320 East Twelfth avenue on November 27th at the age of 85 years.
Mrs. Bennet was born in Indiana in 1828. In 1841 she moved with her parents to Missouri, where, in 1844 she married John Bradbury Bennet.
Mrs. Bennet and her husband settled at Nebraska City, Nebraska, in 1854, and twenty-two years later came to Colorado.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Samuel Shock, and four sons, Hamilton W. Bennet, state respresentative from Douglas county, W.A. and Caldwell R. Bennet of Denver, and Washington T. Bennet of Savanah, Missouri."
