Lady Susan Stewart was born on 10 April 1767.1 She was the daughter of John Stewart, 7th Earl of Galloway and Anne Dashwood. She married George Spencer-Churchill, 5th Duke of Marlborough, son of George Spencer, 4th Duke of Marlborough and Lady Caroline Russell, on 15 September 1791 at St. James's, London, England.1 She died on 2 April 1841 at age 73 at Park Lane, Mayfair, London, England.1 Her will was probated in May 1841.1

    As a result of her marriage, Lady Susan Stewart was styled as Marchioness of Blandford on 15 September 1791. From 15 September 1791, her married name became Spencer-Churchill. As a result of her marriage, Lady Susan Stewart was styled as Duchess of Marlborough on 29 January 1817.
