Susan Werntz

Susan Werntz, 78, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017. She was born May 26, 1939 in Wadsworth to the late Steve and Helen Zeffer.

Sue was employed by the B.F. Goodrich Co. for many years as an executive secretary. She enjoyed being a part of the Turkeyfoot Ladies Golf League and Turkeyfoot Bowling League. She was very active in the Manchester Women's Club and Red Hat Society. She also spent time meeting new friends while donating money at the local casinos. Susan volunteered for many years at the NEC Golf Tournament and was a generous philanthropist to many charities.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Dan; son, Ronald Snyder; and brothers, Frank, Steve, and Art Zeffer.

Susan is survived by her children, Russell Snyder, Todd Snyder, Daniel (Amy) Werntz, and Teresa (Dawn) Werntz; grandchildren, Erin (Anthony), Ryan, Jody and Erica; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Grayson, and Ellie; sister, Margaret Cole; brother, Pete Zeffer; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m., where a Memorial Service will be held immediately following, Rev. Dallas Billington officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lupas Foundation of America (www.lupas.org/donate) to help others regain their own quality of life, as Sue did five years ago.
