Children according to Orcutt's History of Stratfield: Emma b. Aug 30 1672, Alexander b. February 18, 1681and Samuel b. January 16, 1677.

Other sources: Thomas Fairchild was born February 21, 1644 in Stratford, Conneticut, and died March 27, 1686 in Woodbury, Conneticut. He married Sarah Preston or Susan Preston or Sarah Unknown. Even reliable sources who give the name Sarah Preston don't connect her with William Preston and Mary Seabrook Preston.

Thomas was one of the first settlers of Woodbury. His lands were recorded in the Woodbury town records June of 1679. The inventory of Thomas is dated April 16, 1686. He left a widow and five children.
