Susanna was born about 1703 in Houghton, Stanwix, Cumberland, England.

She married William Armstrong 11 Oct 1724 in KirkAndrews on Esk, Cumberland England.

She had at least four children - John, William, Mary and Lancelot.

She emigrated with her family in 1742 and settled on the Catawba River in Augusta County, Virginia.

Her name appears on several legal documents in Virginia the last 9 Mar 1748 but no definite date of death is known to date.

Notes for SUSANNA BLYTHE: There is one record suggesting Susanna Blythe, the wife of patriarch William Armstrong, came to the Colonies with her husband and three sons. On page 12 of Volume III of "Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish in Virginia" by Lyman Chalkley, the will of Simon Akers is attested and "proved" in Augusta County by "Wm. and Susanna Armstrong."
