Susanna Maxwell is daughter of Sir James Maxwell of Calderwood, Baronet. She is the relict of David Dicksone of Busbie, the relict of John Kincaid of Crossbasket, and the spouse of George Home of Kello, Provost of Edinburgh [National Records of Scotland, Particular Register of Sasines for the Sheriffdom of Lanark,1667-1709, reference RS42/4/60, RS42/5/77, RS42/11/65 and RS42/11/134]
