Johann Sebastion Weigel/ Van Veigal , born circa Nov. 12, 1730 Helmstadt, Lower Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. He was the son of Johan Martjn Weigal and Anna Dorothy Friedel. He died Sept. or Jan. 17,1807 at York Co.,Pa. and is buried at Neiman's Cemetery, West Manchester Township, York Co., Pa.

He married Susanna Catherine Leib circa 1756 in Huntington, Westmoreland,  Pennsylvania, daughter of Johannes Godfryt Leyb and Anna Margaretha Hirtzel. She was born March 3, 1739 in Lancaster, York County, Pennsylvania, was christened April 13, 1739 in Christ Church, York County, Pennsylvania, and died  between1805-1846 in West Manchester Twp., York, York County, Pennsylvania.

From Our Weigel Family History

Our line continues through the first son, Johann Sebastian Weigel.  He married Susanna Catharina Lieb in York Co, PA about 1755.  Sebastian is buried in Neiman's Cemetery, West Manchester Twp., York Co., PA.  We do not know where Susanna is buried.
