Notes

From Linda Mac at FindAGrave:

Susannah _____ married John Compton, a laborer & clothier, by about 1632 in England (assuming she was the mother of his only known child). They came to Massachusetts Bay in 1634. They first settled in Roxbury; moved to Boston by 1637. (On 25 February 1642/3, "Susan the wife of our brother John Compton" was admitted to Boston church.) She died by 12 November 1664, when her will was proved.

Their only proven child: Abigail (Campton) Brisco Busby.

In her undated will, proved 12 November 1664, Susannah Compton, "widow of the long since departed John Compton," bequeathed her entire estate to "my little grandchild, Joseph Brisco." In the settlement of the estate it was decided that Abraham Busby would receive half for bringing up Joseph Brisco, and the other half to be paid to Joseph at age twenty-one.

The inventory of the estate of Susannah Compton, taken 12 November 1664, totalled £16 16s., none of which was real estate.

===============================

Susanna Or Susannah Ann Elizabeth (Freeman) this is a mistake she was Susannah Elizabeth Angell I Know a lot of people say it freeman Because the family line can go a little further but there is no documented fact her name was freeman it is said that John Compton The 1st was a (freeman) meaning he was not an indentured servant (slave) yes he was white but if you know your history alot of people was indentured slave or servants this is how they paid there way over to America and for there stay here until they was able to come into land and money.
