About Susannah Humpreys
Note about parents
"Crosswhite" is an English name of which there are many variants, but definitely always English.
There was an English family named "Haines", where one branch settled parts of Goshen, Chester County, PA, and there was a girl born of that family in 1715 whose fate is unknown. DNA links a descendant of the Haines family with a descendant of Susanna Crosswhite, whose origin is also unknown, and this begs the question whether she might have been Esther Haines's daughter.
In order for the dates to work out, however, John Joseph Humphreys probably would have needed a first wife who died, who was born about the same time he was. Such a wife is not known, but would make sense given the supposed dates of his family.
