Footnote to Diary of Increase Mathews:

"Susannah Mathews, eldest sister of Dr. Increase Mathews, was born at Brookfield, Mass., 29 July 1756, and died in 1833. She was married in 1776 to Jonathan Stone of New Braintree, Mass., who was an officer in the Revolution and died in 1801. They moved to the Ohio Country in 1789, and were at Belpre as early as 1797. Both are buried at Belpre.
