About Sutton Quinney, I

notes

From http://www.genealogy.com/forum/regional/states/topics/va/17729/

I am a decendant of Richard Quiney of Stratford-Upon-Avon, England. This is the Richard Quiney who wrote the only letter written to Shakespeare in existence (Asking to borrow money ;)) and whose son, Thomas, married Shakespeare's daughter, Judith, and also bought (with his brothers) Brandon Plantation.Thomas's brother William is my 10th great-grandfather.
Well, it seems William moved to Virginia around 1635, married a woman with the last name Sutton, then produced a son named Sutton Quiney who produced a son named Sutton Quiney who produced a son named Sutton Quiney who produced a son named Sutton Quiney... Yes, 4 Sutton Quinney's.All of then born near the VA-MD border, probably Kent Co, MD and Westmoreland co, VA.The problem is that I have no documented proof of any of this.No census, no Rev. War records, nothing so far.I need actual paper, hard copies, and I can't find it- YET!
If anyone has this information I will gladly pay for it, I will send stamped envelopes, etc.
Please respond if you have any vital/census/church/bible records pertaining to the Quiney family of Virginia and Maryland, especially Sutton Quiney's I-IV and Rigdon Quinney, 1635 thru 1769.Thank You and have a great day!

From http://www.theburginfamily.org/bard.html

Sutton Queeney's father is not proven, but Christos Christou, Jr., (co-author of Vol. 4, Colonial Families of the Eastern Shore of Maryland) and Ramond Burgin strongly feel that he was William Queeney, son of Richard Queeney, Jr. a personal friend of William Shakespeare.
Richard Jr. named his son Thomas to have land in Virginia. Christou found a migration for William and Richard Queeney, but couldn't find that Thomas had emigrated to Va. to claim his land.
The son Thomas actually married Judith Shakespeare in 1616. Judith was the daughter of "The Immortal Bard" William Shakespeare. They named their first child Shakespeare Queeney - - forever joining the two families.
