Evidence from the Register of the Monastery of Scone

1180 X 1203: Charter by which Swein son of Thor confirms that he has given the lands called Ahednepobbel and a toft in Tubermore to the canons of Scone. Scone Liber: charter number 21 on pp. 17-8

No date but probably later than 5 May 1240: Charter by which William of Ruthven confirms an earlier charter by which his father, Walter son of Alan of good memory: Walti filij Alani bone memorie pat's mei" confirms that he has given certain land at Tubermure to the canons of Scone. The land in question had originally been given to the canons by Walter's grandfather, Swan son of Thor: "totam t'ram ilam qa'm Swan' filius Thory auus meus eis dedit in Tubermure". Swan's charter was witnessed by his son Walter: "Walto filio Swani" and his grandson Henry son of Alan: "henr fil Alani fil Swani". The charter subsequently issued by Walter son of Alan was witnessed by his son Gilbert and others: "Gilbto filio meo" and William of Ruthven confirmed his father's charter with the consent of his own son Walter: "Walti filij mei". 1165 X 1214: Charter by which William I, King of Scots, confirms that Gilbert, Earl of Strathern, has given the lands of Maddyrnyn to the canons of Inchaffery.
