DALTON -- Sylvia M. Hostetler, 99, of Dalton, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at Aultman-Orrville Hospital.
She was born near Kidron on Dec. 17, 1915, to the late Daniel and Mary (Zaugg) Welty and married Homer W. Hostetler on July 17, 1937. He died July 4, 1969.
Sylvia had made her home in Dalton most of her life and had worked in the Dalton school cafeteria. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.
Surviving are sons, Gary (Pat) Hostetler of Massillon, Rodney (Shirley) Hostetler of Pottstown, Pa., Eric (Sandy) Hostetler of Sarasota, Fla., and Philip (Barbara) Hostetler of Dalton; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Graveside services will be today (Saturday) at 11 a.m. in Dalton Cemetery, with Pastor Kevin Himes officiating. There will be no calling hours. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements.
