In Hashomer Hatzair. He had a certificate from the Brittish permitting entry to Palestine with his wife. On Motze Shabbat (Saturday evening) he told his parents he was going to be married that evening and they came to the wedding. He went to Israel and built his house and lived in Kiryat Yam. Jack Kowal remembers him leaving for Israel. People thought he was very foolish. He had a group photo taken on the eve of his departure. The family were assembled on a boat on the Vistula.
