Tan Boon Teck was the Proprietor and Manager of Tan Beng Chiang Nurseries, Orchard Road. The company was importers ad exporters of Orchids, Palms and Flowering Plants. It was dealers in all kinds of live animals. Tan Beng Chiang was the Manager of the company. Tan Beng Chiang Nursery was adjacent to the Post Office). There were many advertisements in the papers in the early 1900s that feature this nursery.
