Tanganuturra [Tarenootairrer]; also known as Tibb or Sarah; her testimony to being violently taken by sealers was recorded by George Augustus Robinson; mother of Fanny Cochrane Smith; lived Wybalenna, Flinders Island, Tasmania, where her daughter, Fanny, was born in December 1834; later she lived with Aboriginal man, Nicermenic; she was from Cape Portland, in the north-east of Tasmania. - Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies.
