Theodosia Maria Baldwin, dau. of David J. Baldwin and Nancy Hall, was b. in Orange, New Jersey., 1820; m. GENERAL JOSEPH KARGE, b. in Poland. Professor of Languages at Princeton College, New Jersey. He was distinguished for his courage and conduct during the late war. Was a volunteer; made Colonel of the Second New Jersey Cavalry; served with great distinction, and came out of the war a Brigadier General.
Children: Ladislaw/Ladislas (b. 4/1/1853,in 1877, law student; in 1884 practicing law in New York City), and Ronnald/Romuald F.(b. 12/30/1865*,in 1882,studying medicine in New York City).
Note: Date of birth for Romauld is disputed, and I believe as a typo based in data from 1900 census (see census for R.F.)
