Obituary

Teresa Guest Phillips, 62, of Baytown, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 in Houston. She was born December 28, 1948 in Waco, had lived in Baytown since 1955 and graduated with honors from Robert E. Lee High School in 1967.

Teresa was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and formerly Central Baptist Church and Cedar Bayou Baptist Church and was actively involved in church activities, especially choir and Sunday School, at all of these churches. She served for 15 years as organist of Central Baptist Church and several years at Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Phillips was an Administrator with the North Harris Montgomery County Community College and had also served a one year term as president with the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney Guest and a brother, Ronald "Kent" Guest.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Bob Phillips of Baytown; son, Jeff Phillips and his wife Traci of College Station; mother, Jewell Guest of Baytown; grandchildren, Madeleine Phillips and Harrison Phillips both of College Station; brother, Randall "Wayne" Guest and his wife Becky of Baytown, Brother in Laws James Larkin Smith and his wife Nancy of San Marcos, Dallas L Holmes and his wife Josie of Baytown, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Brad Hoffmann officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Billy Locke, Michael Guest, Joe Haney, Darren Weber, Chad Bowen and J. Michael Guest.
