Terry Jastrow (born September 24, 1948 in Denver, Colorado, USA) has been the Producer and / or Director of some of the world's greatest events over the last 30 years. Mr. Jastrow is also a Screenwriter, Playwright, Theatrical Director and Acting Teacher. The following is a partial list of his accomplishments: In Film / Television, Mr. Jastrow has received 7 Emmy Awards and been nominated 17 times. He started working for ABC Sports at age 21, being the youngest network television sports producer ever at age 23. He went on to serve as a Producer and / or Director at ABC Sports for 24 years. Among the many projects Mr. Jastrow Produced or Directed are: The Super Bowl XIX; 68 of golf's Major Championships including the U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship; the Indy 500; and ABC's Wide World of Sports. Mr. Jastrow was the Producer / Director of six Olympic Games including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies most notably for the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, as well as the Summer Olympics in Munich 1972 and Montreal 1976, as well as the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid 1980, Sarajavo 1984, and Calgary '88. In addition, he Produced many of the Howard Cosell telecasts during the prime of his career from 1974-1977. As President of Jack Nicklaus Productions for 12 years, Mr. Jastrow re-launched Shell's Wonderful World of Golf, and created Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge, The Diners Club Matches, Michael Douglas & Friends, Tommy Bahama Challenge, as well as produced a line of video games with Accolade, etc. He Produced / Directed golf instructional programs for Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, Curtis Strange, Tom Kite, Phil Mickelson, Tom Watson, and Butch Harmon. Mr. Jastrow Produced the famed Haute Couture Paris Fashion Collections for ABC TV's prime time specials, and Produced the first English speaking programs of great Carnival in Rio, 2 hour prime time specials for The Travel Channel. In Feature Films, Mr. Jastrow Developed, Produced and Starred in the feature film Waltz Across Texas with Anne Archer. He is the Writer of Good Luck, Mr. Anthony, a feature film script in development at Beacon Pictures, and the Co-Creator, Commissioner and Executive Producer of The People's Games, in development for ABC. He has been Nominated for the Directors Guild of America Lifetime Achievement Award. In Theater, he Studied acting with Lee Strasberg at the Theater Institute and The Actor's Studio for 7 years, as well as studying acting with Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse for 15 years where he also taught an acting class for 6 years. He has acted in numerous feature films and episodes of television series, as well as plays in both New York City and Los Angeles. Mr. Jastrow Directed the Los Angeles stage premiere of A Couple of White Chicks Sitting Around Talking, starring Anne Archer and Elizabeth Ashley, Directed the world stage premiere of As If It Matters at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, Wrote and Directed The Vaginal Lock produced by Camelot Productions at the Skylight Theater in Los Angeles, and most Wrote and Directed Jane Fonda in the Court of Public Opinion, which premiered at the Edgemar Theater in Los Angeles in October 2012. On a personal note, he has been Honored with the Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Citizen Award, and is married to actress Anne Archer.
