Thankful was born April 1684 in Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay. She was the daughter of George and Mary (Lombard) Lewis.

Thankful married Samuel Look, her 1st and his 2nd, on October 19, 1704 in Tisbury, Dukes, Massachusetts Bay.

They had at least the following children:

Seth Look, 1709–1779
Stephen Look, 1717– Noah Look, 1719–1790 Job Look, 1723– She passed away on January 24, 1769.
