The wedding of Mr. Richard Blackwood Ranken, only son of Mr. William Logan Ranken, of "Glenlogan," Ayrshire, and Miss Theodora Kathleen Lyon, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lyon, of [Glenogle, 76 Baker Road, Harkaway, Melbourne, Victoria, VIC 3806, Australia -38.0027833, 145.3497345], was celebrated on Wednesday, 15 June 1910 by the Bishop of Ballarat, assisted by the Rev. E. G. Hughes. The service was fully choral, and Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" was rendered.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an oyster grey coat and skirt, and grey hat set with ostrich plumes and velvet. Her bouquet was of white azaleas and orchids. The bridesmaid was Miss Vera Helen Lyon, who was frocked in white; smart green hat, wreathed with roses. Her posy was violets and maiden-hair fern. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold bracelet, and to the bridesmaid a gold and tourmaline bangle. Mr. Jack Turnbull was best man. The bride's mother was gowned in grey silk. Mrs. W. H. L. Ranken wore black silk, relieved with gold.
After the ceremony wedding tea was served at the [Grand Hotel Melbourne, 33 Spencer Street, Docklands, Victoria VIC 3000, Australia -37.8206498, 144.9544305], at which about seventy guests were present. The honeymoon was spent in Sydney. They will make their home at Boorara Station, Queensland.

The marriage of Richard Blackwood Ranken, only son of the late William Hugh Logan Ranken, of Glenlogan, Ayrshire, N.B., with Theodora Kathleen (Dorothy) Lyon, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George O. Lyon of Glenogil, Harkaway, was celebrated at St Peter's, Eastern Hill -37.8101, 144.9752 Church of England, Melbourne on Wednesday, [ERROR 22 CORRECTION] 15 June 1910 by the Bishop of Ballarat, assisted by the Rev. F. S. Hughes and choir.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore her travelling costume, an oyster-grey cloth coat and skirt, and a grey velvet hat with ostrich feathers, her bouquet being of white azaleas and orchids. The bride's sister Vera was the only bridesmaid. She wore a smart white frock and a green hat with bronze roses and autumn foliage, and carried a bouquet of violets and maidenhair. The bridegroom's gift to her was a gold bangle set with tourmalines. Mr. J. Turnbull was best man.
At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception, followed by wedding tea, took place at the Grand Hotel. The honeymoon is being spent in Sydney, and Mr. and Mrs. Ranken will in future reside at Boorara Station, Hungerford, Queensland, QLD 4493, Australia -28.66, 144.38.
