Theophila Stubbs, daughter of William Stubbs and Hester Harington, was baptised 21 Dec 1584 at St Dunstan, Stepney, London. She died after 1617.
She married 1st Thomas Garrard and 2nd Thomas Cooper.
Thomas Cooper, Theophila Cooper his wife, William Garrard and Edward are mentioned in a document dated 1603-1625 concerning ground in Inkpen, Berkshire.
She was mentioned in the will of her mother Hester (Harington) Stubbs, as were her children from her first marriage to Thomas Garrard (William, Roger and Mary Garrard). The will is held at the Berkshire Record Office in Reading, dated 1639.
"I give & bequeathe unto my daughter Cowper one Fether bed, one payre of sheetes, one Rugg & my laste made gowne, and to her sonne Will[ia]m Garrard twelve pence, to her sonne Roger Garrard tenn powndes to her daughter Marye tenn powndes and to her sonne John five powndes, & I will that my daughter Cowper shall have all those garment[es] & Clothes w[hi]ch are in her owne truncke w[hi]ch standeth att my bed[es] feete."
