  • Theophilus served as a sergeant in the 10th Company, Second Connecticut Regiment. The company was commanded by his brother Peleg (which had been appointed second lieutenant in the 10th Company in 1756). The company participated in the military campaigns of 1759 and 1760. As of 1761, Theophilus served as an ensign in the 10th Company.
