About Theresa Hager

Theresa Hager, 89, of Braddock, North Dakota, died August 16, 2011 at a Bismarck Care Center. Burial will be in St. Katherine's Catholic Cemetery, Braddock, North Dakota.

Theresa was born on September 25, 1921 on a farm southwest of Linton, the daughter of Mike and Mary (Wikenheiser) Bichler.

She attended country school and graduated from Strasburg High School. She attended college at Ellendale Teachers College. Theresa taught country school southwest of Linton. Theresa married Pius Hager Sr. on June 7, 1943 in Strasburg, North Dakota.

Following their marriage, they lived and farmed west of Linton before moving to a farm north of Braddock. They lived and farmed near Braddock until moving into Braddock in 1981. They have since resided in Braddock. Theresa was a cook at the school. She was a member of St. Katherine's Catholic Church, Altar Society, and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, knitting, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Pius Sr. of Braddock, North Dakota; seven sons and daughters-in-law: Pius Jr. and Antoinette Hager of Braddock, North Dakota; Terry and Geraldine Hager of Omaha, Nebraska; Richard Hager of Denver, Colorado; Donnie and Diane Hager of Braddock, North Dakota; Ken and Debbie Hager of Littleton, Colorado; Ronnie Hager of Littleton, Colorado; and Garry and Kristi Hager of Conifer, Colorado; twenty four grandchildren; thirty five great-grandchildren and one great great grand-daughter.

She is also survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe and Ann Bichler of Bismarck, North Dakota; Alex and Katherine Bichler of Linton, North Dakota; and Leo and Alice Bichler of Linton, North Dakota; eight sisters and brothers-in-law: Margaret Ternes of Bismarck, North Dakota; Anna Mary Mosset of Bismarck, North Dakota; Angeline and Leo Miller of Spokane, Washington; Bernice and Eddie Jahner of Appleton, Wisconsin; Sally and Tony Bernhardt of Linton, North Dakota; Beverly and Alex Noel of Linton, North Dakota; Agnes and Max Mosset of Linton, North Dakota; and Lorraine and Herman Mosset of Linton, North Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Corey Hager and two sisters: Victoria Jahner and Phyllis Kuhn.
