Mary Bush Vannoy

Mary Bush Vannoy was the first wife of Rev. Lemuel Stump Vannoy and the daughter of George Farley Bush and Joanna Springston. Mary and her husband Lemuel were the parents of ten children and nine of them grow to adulthood. Rev. Lemuel Stump Vannoy died in Harrisville, Ritchie Co. on November 8, 1930 and is buried at the IOOF Cemetery in Harrisville, WV

His first wife was Mary McCune, who was a daughter of Peter McCune, Sr. This Mary McCune was the mother of Sam McCune, commonly called "Sam, the varmint", who was shot and killed in his yard by his Uncle Timothy McCune at the mouth of Mud Fork of the West Fork . . . "
