Rachel Pitzer is the daughter of Richard Pitzer and Anna Green. Rachel married Thomas Beard 31 31 Aug 1826 in Licking Co., OH. Rachel and Thomas had 12 children: 1.) Catherine Beard (1826-????) m. Thomas Dutro. 2.) Joseph Beard (1827-1886) m. Anne Etnier. 3.) Ann Beard (about 1830-????) m. Anderson. 4.) Margaret Beard (about 1831-????). 5.) Maria Beard (about 1833-????). 6.) Andrew Beard (1835-1918) m. Eliza Helen Headley. 7.) Sarah Beard (about 1838-????) m. Robert Catlin. 8.) John Beard (about 1840-????) m. Agnes Allen. 9.) James Beard (about 1842-????) m. Mary Jane Hintz. 10.) Rachel Beard (about 1844-????) m. Dr. Valentine. 11.) Unknown 12.) Unknown

Following information provided by great granddaughter Elizabeth Wight # 47231063. In February, 1849, six of his children were listed in the Chancery Court Records of Licking County, Ohio, (Vol. S, page 604-607, Film # 0903079, ) as minors: Andrew, Catherine, Sarah, John, James and Rachel.
