Notes on Browns of Colchester, Conn, by Donald Lines Jacobus, April 1959, Vol. 35, #2, The American Genealogist, p. 127. Recorded NEHGS, Register, 6:269. Land conveyed by his father to him on 14 Sept. 1711. He moved to Hebron, Conn. and conv. to Samuel Chapman of New London land in Colchester 1 Jan 1715/16. Thomas Brown, Jr., moved to Hebron, Conn. On 1 Jan. 1715/16, Thomas Brown of Hebron conveyed to Samuel Chapman of New London, land in Colchester [2:158]; this was probably the land his father had conveyed to him. The will of Thomas Brown of Hebron, dated 30 Dec. 1756, proved 2 Feb. 1757, named wife Sarah, sons Jonathan, Azariah, Nathaniel and Stephen Brown (to each, Ð5), daughters Jerusha Bliss (Ð7); and to son Abner, the homestead, and the rest of the movables to his [Abner's] honoured mother, and he shall provide maintenace for her while she lives [Colchester Probate, File 445].

Will dated 30 Dec. 1756 proved 2 Feb 1757, named wife Sarah, sons Jonathan, Azariah, Nathaniel and Stephen, and dau. Jerusha Bliss, Hannah Penock, and Sarah Bliss and son Abner.

Thomas Brown of Hebron, Connecticut, had childen baby (1716), Jerusha (1717), Stephen (1729), Sarah (1731), David (1733). Samuel Seabury of New London";The old Church of England Cemetary in Hebron is situated one mile north of Hebron village on Gilead Road.The land for this cemetary was deeded to Samuel Water, Thomas Brown and Richard Curtis.

Thomas Brown and Hannah Lee had children Thomas (1688), Samuel (1692), Hannah (1694), Sarah (1700) and Keziah (1707). The first two children were recorded at Westfield (part of Springfield that became independent in 1689), the last one at Colchester. Thomas's son Samuel, also of Colchester, Conn., was appointed guardian of Thomas's youngest daughter Keziah after Thomas's death in 1717.[3]
