The late Thomas Lyons Buck, who died at Wallaroo recently, had a chequered career, and for 53yrs was a resident of the sea port town. He was born at Mount Maloo, Victoria, in 1854, and came to Sth Australia in 1857, arriving in Wallaroo in 1865. For some time he was employed by Goods & Sims Co., and laterly by S.A.Government in the railway department. After serving for 17yrs he resigned, and followed various occupations, being cheifly employed on the jetty. He died at the Wallaroo Hospital on the 15th June 1918, after a long illness.There are 22 grandchildren
