About Thomas Cadwell
Thomas Cadwell, III was the son of Hannah Butler and Lieutenant Thomas Cadwell. Thomas was their first child and married Hannah Francis, a daughter of Mercy Chatterton and John Francis.
They lived in West Hartford. About 1736 they were among those who petitioned the General Assembly for "parish priviledges", which would create a new church parish for residents of portions of Windsor, Farmington and Simsbury, thus establishing a new parish called, after the names of the three towns, Win-ton-bury. This area also included a portion of West Hartford, and was the parish of several generations of Cadwells.
Thomas and Hannah had seven children: Thomas, md. Mary Porter; Abigail, md. Israel Merrill; Matthew, md. Elizabeth Hubbard; Hannah, md. John Hubbard, Jr.; Mary, md. Nathaniel Hubbard; Anne, md. Peletiah Pierce and Lois, md. Ashbell Humphrey.
Thomas made his will September 1747 and amended it two years later. Thanks for finding his death date go to RAMONA MIZNE - Thank you!
