Obituary, Princeton Alumni Weekly, October 24, 1917: https://books.google.com/books?id=fW1IAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA90
"Thomas Christy Chapin '93 died Sept. 30, at Stafford Spring, Conn. All Princetonians of his time in college will recall disctinctly his handsome, athletic figure, his merry personality, and his spirited character. Graduating from Princeton as an engineer, he executed various creditable engineering enterprises in the vicinity of New York, and served for several years as Assistant Engineer of the Department of Public Works of New York. Owing to ill health in his late years he had resided upon a farm. He is survived by his wife, Annie Howard Chapin, and by six children."
