From the book Clarks from Pennsylvania and Allied Families Thomas was born in Sherman's Valley where his family had settled and his parent buried at the old Centre Church cemetery in what is now Perry County. Page 19

Thomas and "Ellen" moved to Ohio the next spring after they married in May, 1810. They married December 30, 1809 . Robert Clark mentions his son in his will of April 15, 1813 as "To my son Thomas I give and bequeth one hundred dollars in addiition to money and other articles already given to him." Probably Robert presented part of his inheritance to him when he and Ellen moved to Ohio.
