1780 0 Mar, Robert Clark and Mary Alexander
From Reaching the Promised Land, Thomas R. Prescott: P. 101 Mary Alexander, born in 1762, married robert Clark at the Centre Presbyterian CVhurch in March of 1780. Robert, originally a resident of carlisle, had volunteered to help defend the settlers of the Sherman's Valley against Indian attacks. Robert, finding such good land decided to settle there and married Mary. He settled on 100 acres in Toboyne township (1785 tax record), originally warranted by his father Thomas Clark in 1766. Robert died in 1819 and Mary in 1838. They had six sons and three daughters.
