Sarah and Thomas Eastabrooks' son Thomas was born 18 Oct 1670 in Swansea, Massachusetts Bay. [1][2]

Thomas had a son with Mary Luther, seemingly out of wedlock:

Thomas Estabrooks, b. 20 Jan 1693 in Swansea [3]
[4]

He married Elizabeth Thurber before November, 1703. Children:[5]

  1. Elizabeth b. 8 November 1703 m. 5 March 1728/9 Benjamin Cranston
  2. Robert b. 12 August 1705 m. 15 June 1727 Sarah Luther of Attleborough
  3. John b. 26 October 1707 m. 7 July 1734 Francis Franklin
  4. Nathaniel b. 8 April 1710
  5. Rachel b. 21 May 1712 m. 24 January 1733 Mathew Remington
  6. Mary b. 20 August 1714 m. Isaac Chase
  7. Benjamin b. 31 October 1716 m. 18 December 1740 Johannah Frankil [sic]
  8. Sarah b. 13 April 1719 m. 8 September 1743 William Lewin
  9. William b. 30 June 1724

Thomas was executor of the estate of his mother-in-law Mary Thurber in 1718. His son John Eastabrooke was also named in the will.[6]

Thomas died on 27 September 1724 at Swansea. Division of his real and personal estate was made 11 December 1727.[7] After setting off the widow's thirds, portions alotted as follows:

  • a double portion to eldest son Robert Estabrook, and single portions to the rest, namely
  • second son John Estabrook
  • third son Nathaniel Estabrook
  • eldest daughter Elisabeth Estabrook
  • second daughter Rachel Estabrook
  • third daughter Mary Estabrook
  • fourth daughter Sarah Estabrook
  • fourth son Benjamin Estabrook
  • fifth son William Estabrook

The omission of son Thomas lends further support to the notion that Thomas and his mother Mary Luther never married.
