About Thomas Fiske, Sr.
Thomas and Margery both died when their children were still quite young. There were many infant deaths as well in this family (3 babies named James, 4 Elizabeth, 2 John, 5 Mary). It would seem that life was hard for them.

Thomas Fiske of Fessingfield, Suffolk was a wheelwright. He was probably born at St. James, South Elmham, Suffolk about 1560, and was buried at Fessingfield 26 Feb 1610/11. He married probably about 1587, and his wife was still living when his will was dated on 20 Feb 1610/11. How long before his death he had lived at Fessingfield, which during the middle of the sixteenth century had been the home of his father, is not known, nor have the records of the baptisms of his children been found.
