About Thomas Howard
Mary Wellman married first in January 1666 to Thomas Howard[3] of Norwich, Connecticut, in January, 1666.[1] Thomas died on 17 December 1675 in the Great Swamp Fight near the end of King Philip's War.[citation needed]
They had five children:
- Mary Howard, born Dec 1667[3]
- Sarah Howard, born Feb 1669,[3] married Joseph Gere and has issue[1]
- Martha Howard, born Feb 1672 and died a month later[3]
- Thomas Howard, born March 1673,[3] died in childhood[1]
- Benjamin Howard, born June 1675.[3] settled in Windham, married, and had 4 children[1]
Following the death of Thomas Howard, she married William Moore, also in Norwich, in August 1677.[3] He died in April of 1729.
