On the My Heritage Web site there are simply dozens of links and lists of children for Jane and John. For Thomas Hurst there seems to four primary ideas concerning his birth. For this part of the tree I have gone with Thomas being Jane and Johns first born child: 1720 to 1817. Perhaps Jane and John had more than one child named Thomas? Other dates for Thomas Hurst are: 1720 to 1789, 1723 to ?, 1737 to ?, 1739 to ?, and 1747 to ? None of the other links had a birth place or death place. Anyone finding some actual proof about Thomas or Thomas's if there is more than one is welcome to change this.

Thomas was born in Virginia, Overwharton Parish, to Jane and John (died 6 DEC 1747) Hurst , immigrants. Passenger and Immigration Lists show John arrived in America in 1705*
Thomas Hursts' elder brother was William "Brindle Bill" Hurst b 1710. Their father, John was granted land in 1717 and was found on the rent rolls of Stafford Co VA in 1723. Aside from William and Thomas, Jane and John Hurst children included Mary, James, Henry, and John.

Thomas Hurst and wife, Mary (maiden name unknown), had children John "Millcreek" Hurst, James, Nathaniel, Priscilla, Nancy, Absalom and George W.
