Unknown who Thomas Hyatt's parents were. Possibly Simon Hoyte and Deborah Stowers of Upwey, Dorset, England, as referenced by J Cornelius Haight in Silas Constant, but unproven.

Thomas Hyatt was granted a house lot at Stamford, Connecticut, 7 Dec 1641. [3] That is the earlier definite appearance yet found in colonial records.
Thomas died in Stamford, 9 Sept 1656. His inventory was presented in court 16 June 1662. He left a widow, Elizabeth _____, and six children. Elizabeth married Cornelius Jones, as her second husband, on 6 Oct. 1657.[3]
Children
The principal source tying these children to their parents is the probate records of father Thomas Hyatt's estate. His widow's second husband Cornelius Jones diligently distributed portions of the estate to each beneficiary, obtained dated receipts, and submitted them to the court.[3] The suggested dates of births are inferred based on parents' ages, the normal two-year spacing of children, the order listed in the will, and dates of the receipts, which customarily could not be obtained until a person attained majority at age 21.
He did not have a wife Kathryn Parsols
Simon Hoyte, was the son of John Hoyt and Ruth Smith, and born 1/20/1590. On 12/2/1612, he married Deborah Stowers, daughter of Walter and unknown Stowers and born 5/1/1593.
They had six children born at Dorchester and baptized at Upwey.
As Thomas Hyatt is first mentioned in Dorchester, Massachusetts, on 8/26/1633 as the brother of John Russell, he may have come with John Hoyt and Nicholas Stowers, along with Simon Hoyt of West Hatch, as part of the Puritan migration. Hoyt and Hyatt are interchanged in reference to him in Connecticut. Also Hyoute, Hiout, Hout, Hiat, Hyout, Hyat, with the final reference of Hyatt. He died December 9, 1656, and supporting documentation is listed with Simon Hoyt of West Hatch, who died shortly after.
