Thomas Ingersoll

About 1618, he moved from Derby to Stepney (which is now in east London but was then a separate village) and became a ropemaker. About 1626, he returned to Derby, where he became a shoemaker.

In 1661, he paid 2 sh. as his contribution for the "Free and Voluntary Present" at the Restoration of King Charles.

He was paid by the city of Derby in 1677, 1678, 1680, & 1682 for performing his duties as town crier.
