Biography ==Thomas Roy was born about 1735 in Spotsylvania County or King and Queen County, Virginia Colony. He was the son of James Roy (1686 - 1741) and Elizabeth Gordon;
Thomas married Margaret Ann Meadows (1739 - 1805) about 1755. These are their children:
- Joseph Roy (1776 - 1850)
- Thomas Roy (1778 - 1854)
- Asa Roy (1784 - 1864)
- Zachariah Roy (1787 - 1848)
Thomas passed away about 1805. It is now known where he is buried.
