• Richmond County, VA, Will Book 5, 1725-1753, page 133 - In the name of God, Amen, 18 December 1728, I Thomas Lawson tenure of North Farnham Parish and County of Richmond, planter, being weak but of perfect memory, thanks to almighty God... do make, ordain, constitute and appoint this my Last Will & Testament.
• Item - I will that my debts and funeral charges be first paid.
• Item - I give to my son Richard my great iron pot.
• Item - I give my daughter, Elizabeth one feather bed, a bolster, a rug, two blankets and a iron pot.
• Item - I give to my daughter, Rebecca one feather bed, bolster, a pair of sheets, two pillows, one blanket and a rug.
• Item - I give to my daughter Anne one shilling current money.
• Item - I give my son Daniel one feather bed, bolster, a rug and two blankets, one gun, a cow and calf and one large chest.
• Item - I give unto my son Thomas 2 young heifers of 2 years old.
• Item - I give to my son John two, 2 year old heifers also.
• Item - I give unto my son William two young heifers.
• Item - It is my will that my daughter Elizabeth have what I have will to her not until she be married and also my daughter Rebecca her ____ after my wife’s death.
• Item - After the cost, residue and remainder of my said estate I give unto my loving wife, Mary Lawson forever.
• Item - I numerated and appoint my said loving wife Mary Lawson my only and sole Executrix of this my Last Will & Testament making and nullifying all other will or wills...
