About Thomas Moyle, mayor of Bodmin
Biography
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Moyle-6
Father of Thomas Moyle, Walter Moyle and Henry Moyle
An ancient slab in the parish church at Bodmin existed with a fragmentary Latin inscription: Hic qui tumulator Thomas le Moyle sic vocabatur, which rougly translates as "Here is entombed the one called Thomas le Moyle". The styling of the slab leads experts to believe that this is the grave marker of Thomas Moyle, three times Mayor of Bodmin. [4]
Research Notes
Although one of Thomas's sons became associated with Kent, there appears to be no surviving evidence that Thomas himself lived or died there. I can find no evidence that he was knighted or used the title Sir; or that he married Isabella Knolles. Greet-49 01:22, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
