The issue: Thomas Nash and Winstead Thomas Nash are two different persons. do not merge them or there relatives together!
No mention of a Thomas Nash in Thomas Walker Nash's will. Male descendants of this Thomas were shown to be Y-DNA haplogroup E-M2 or E-P1 from Africa. E-P1 has been found among the Dogon people of Mali.

Thomas Walker Nash's will:
"His will probated in Chowan County, N.C. in 1769 mentions his children Clement Nash (later killed at Yorktown during the American Revolution) and Ann Owen Nash (later married Reverend John Cameron) by his first wife (Mary Read). His daughter Ann's grandmother, Mrs. Read, is mentioned in his will. It is stated in his will that he had four children by his second wife (Mary Holdcroft). That group of four children was Elizabeth, John, Mary and Henry Nash. His youngest daughter Justina Nash is also mentioned. She was apparently a child by Thomas Nash's third wife (Nelly Craven). 2. Thomas Nash, born say 1762, (called Thomas Ash) was head of an Opelousas, Louisiana household of 7 "other free" in 1810 [LA:316] but was counted as white in Natchitoches in 1820 [LA:92] and 1830: born 1760-70, head of a household of 5 persons [LA:58]. He was the father of
i. Mary, born 6 June 1781, daughter of Thomas Nash, married James Groves [Wise, Sweat Families of the South, 120] who was head of a Natchitoches, Louisiana household of 3 "other free" in 1810 [LA:325].
