"Thomas Oglivie, eldest son of Thomas O. of Turfaudry ; educated at Marischal College, Aberdeen ; passed trials and preached in the Presb. of Forfar though not licen. by any bishop ; licen. by the United Presb. of Angus and Mearns 14th Feb. 1695 ; ord. to Strathmartine 3rd May 1697 ; called by the Presb. jure devoluto 3rd Feb., trans, and adm. 18th May 1703 ; died 22nd May 1741. He marr. Elizabeth (died 15th Feb. 1759), daugh. of Henry Smith of Glasswall, and had issue — Henry, min. of Lunan ; Elizabeth (marr. (1) John Dunbar, min. of Menmuir : (2) ,Thomas Ogilvie of Coul); Isobel (marr. Geikie)."
