Thomas Pedrick

Thomas was but 12 years old at his father's death and was probably raised about Chester, later succeeding to some of his father's land at Old Mans Creek. He left five children from 14 years of age down to one yet unborn. Having married in a Episcopal Church, no activites of Thomas were in the Friends' records.

Now of the 1140 acres of land, John inherited 400 acres leaving a balance of 740 acres of which Thomas was deded half or 370 acres just three years before his dath. Why he did not recieve a deed for his portion brfore is not known. His will mentions this 370 acres which was devised to his two eldest sons Thomas and Phillip, which shows he acqured no other land. Thomas's Will is found in the N.J. Wills Book 2, Page 120. Trenton, NJ and part of the will reads as follow: " Imprimis: I give and bequeath to Elizabeth, my dearly beloved wife, ye one half of all by movables and ye profits of ye plantation to bring up ye children not destroying ye wood and timber by sale or wast but for ye use of ye place until my two sons Thomas andPhilip shall come of ye child that which my wife is bugy with to be equally divided amongest them, pnly my dattor shall have two shares."
