:
"Probably a son of Francis Peyton (d 1529) and Elizabeth Brooke (d 1536) of Tardebrigge, County Worcester, England." He leased Welshfield, Crottelands, and the land on which he resided in Worcester. His inventory and the items mentioned in his will indicated he was a substantial farmer for his day. His son John received the major part of his estate including one-half the lease of the farm and the lease of Crottelands to be held jointly with his wife, Agnes. The lease of Welshfield was bequeathed to Johane Gest, his step-daughter.
He dated his will 7 March 1554 and it was probated 24 July 1555. Gleaning from the abstracts of his will, Thomas named as his children John, Johane, Thomas, Christopher and William. He stated he had four children by his last wife Agnes. He appointed his wife Agnes and his son John as joint executors of his will.
