Thomas Pope, 2nd Earl of Downe

Absent male issue, the title Earl of Down passed to his uncle, Thomas Pope.

   Thomas Pope, 2nd Earl of Downe was baptised on 16 December 1622.2 He was the son of Sir William Pope and Elizabeth Watson.2 He married Lucy Dutton, daughter of John Dutton and Elizabeth Baynton, on 26 November 1638 at Sherborne, Dorset, England.2 He died on 28 December 1660 at age 38 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, without male issue.2
